It was uncertain what went on earlier in the day, if Starscream had located some sort of secret power, an ancient "magical" stone or favour of an omnipotent being, but when he told Megatron that he would be squashed for eternity, he meant it.
The expression of pure shock on Starscream's face was evident that he too was taken by surprise.
