Voiced by Tom Kenny, Animated Starscream had strong nods toward his Generation One character, including voice and colour scheme - although his grey tended toward the slate blue colour as opposed to silver.
Another nod here was his immortality and perhaps a lighthearted take to his tendency to try to take over. The animated series was clearly directed more for the younger generation, but was also enjoyable to adults as well.
